Final Fantasy III: Hasty T-Rex is a modification for the Super Nintendo version of Final Fantasy III. It addresses a glitch in the Dragon's Neck Colosseum where the Tyrannosaur's animation improperly shifts during the application of spells like Haste or Slow. The patch corrects the midpoint calculation for the sprite, ensuring proper behavior during combat.
Apparently the Dragon's Neck Colosseum feeds its Tyrannosaurs Folgers between battles, because they tend to get a bit jumpy. It's especially noticeable when they are subject to the Haste or Slow spells, as they will actually jump back a bit during the spell's animation, then jump forward again when it's over. This patch forces the Colosseum staff to cut back on the caffeine.

PURPOSE:
If you bet the Marvel Shoes in the Colosseum, you will fight a Tyrannosaur. If certain spells are cast on the Tyrannosaur, such as Haste, Slow or Bum Rush, it will shift backwards for the duration of the spell. This is because most spells align themselves with the center of their target, but the game miscalculates the Tyrannosaur's midpoint. This patch corrects the midpoint calculation by adjusting the sprite's width calculation.
