Shadowhawk: Shadowhawk Stereo & Bug Fixes is a patch for the Super Nintendo game Shadowhawk that restores right channel stereo audio and addresses critical bugs. Previous ROMs featured only mono left channel audio due to a prototype issue. The patch corrects control reactions to enemy contact and reduces damage taken. Users can select between a combined stereo and bug fix or a standalone stereo fix at the title screen.
This patch restores the right channel stereo audio in Shadowhawk and applies the bugfixes that make the game playable (see below). In all previous Shadowhawk ROMs, only mono left channel audio worked, because the audio for the right channel was set to 0 in the prototype itself. The stereo patch changes one byte where it uses the left channel volume for the right 0x1E1109 3C-3B
Press SELECT at the title screen to edit the controls.
Two patches are included:
*Stereo+Bugfixes (recommended): Combines the bugfixes below with Redguy's stereo fix.
*Stereo Fix Only: Stand-alone stereo fix.
Bug-Fix Notes:
*Fixed reaction to running into enemies and hazards. In the original prototype the player froze and made a strange recoil motion. This bug made the game unplayable because if more than one enemy attacked, Shadowhawk could become stuck.

Bug-Fix Notes from SNES Central:
"The hacked ROM had 262 bytes changed for the bootleg release. Aside from fixing the internal header, they made a change to the way that your character reacts to running into enemies or environment hazards that can harm you. Rather than the enemy taking damage when you run into them, the unhacked version has this awkward recoil motion. This makes it incredibly hard to attack enemies, especially if there are more than one of them near you. The amount of damage you take was possibly reduced in the hack also."
