Super Chinese World, also known as Super Ninja Boy, is a one or two-player action-oriented role-playing game for the Super Nintendo. Each player controls either Jack or Ryu, with Jack being the only character in a single-player mode. Players can join the game at any point through a convenience store visit.
The game features traditional RPG elements such as weapon configuration, equipment upgrade, and level advancement. Both characters share equal statistics and are treated as a unified entity. Interactive battles commence either through unexpected encounters or map visibility.
In combat mode, characters can jump, fight, utilize special techniques, use items and spells, and trigger various bonuses via bonus boxes. A battle concludes and awards experience points once a designated number of enemies are defeated, or if the Ninja Boys are defeated.
Upon facing bosses, the gameplay shifts to a turn-based format. Each turn allows Jack and Ryu to execute commands, such as using special items and acquired skills. The enemy executes in the same fashion, and the battle concludes when one side exhausts their hitpoints.

A battle is over and experience points awarded when a pre-determined number of enemies are defeated or the Ninja Boys are defeated.
When bosses are encountered, the gameplay changes to a turn-based system. Each turn, commands are given to Jack and Ryu, which include usage of special items and skills acquired during the game, who then perform actions based on those commands. The enemy's turn takes place the same way. The battle ends when one side of the conflict runs out of hitpoints.
