Super Mario World: Featuring Doopliss is a romhack for the Super Nintendo that replaces Mario with Doopliss from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. This graphics-centric modification retains original gameplay but alters text and visuals, including the ending. Two-player mode is disabled due to graphical palette issues, and loading times between worlds may be slightly increased.
Play as Doopliss in Super Mario World in this straightforward, character swap romhack.
Changes:
- Mario(and by extension, Luigi) is replaced with Doopliss from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Text and the ending picture is changed accordingly("The Princess" is also swapped with "Peach" in places where the character limit would be reached because of Doopliss' longer name)
- Mainly being a graphics hack, the gameplay itself is virtually unchanged besides slightly extended loading between world maps. It appears to be a side effect of the 32x32 patch used to fit Doopliss' sprites.
- The 2-player mode is also disabled due to the way the cape form's palette works.
