Super MK vs SF Kart is a fan-made ROM hack of Super Mario Kart for the Super Nintendo, created through a collaboration between Resenhando Com Luke and D83 Games. This version features an original crossover between the Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter franchises, introducing eight new characters, enhanced graphics, new backgrounds, and items. Players race across themed tracks while utilizing unique character abilities from both iconic series. Released on November 21, 2021, the game celebrates the nostalgic gameplay of classic kart racing.

Super MK vs SF Kart is a Project created in a Channel Partnership: Resenhando Com Luke & D83 Games.

The main idea came from D83 Games and was to create a CrossOver between the two Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat franchises in a Kart dispute.

Super MK vs SF Kart is a Channel Partnership Project Resenhando Com Luke with Channel D83 GAMES.

D83 GAMES made the Sprites for the MK Ninjas, Reptile, Scorpion and Sub-Zero and handed me over to do the graphics.

I was responsible for the opening and insertion of the Street Fighter characters, as the great idea he gave was to make a CrossOver of Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter.

I put all the characters, made the sprites of the smashed characters of everyone and the characters on the ninja podium. In addition to the three ninjas created by D83, I made Ermac from the same sprites and I made Reptile in place of Luigi, who uses separate sprites, I also added in this version Noob Saibot and Smoke in place of Sub-Zero and Scorpion.

The Street Figher characters are from the Hack Hyper Street Kart by authors The Real Phoenix and Ten Shu (If you want the characters' sprites crushed, feel free to use them).

*HOW IT WORKED*

First I was given the hack with the 3 ninjas created.

So I added the HSK characters and made 4 more ninjas, Smoke, Ermac, Noob Saibot and Reptile (to use in place of Luigi). After that I did the Aperture and the sprites for the crushed characters and the podium, as well as all the Backgrounds for each type of terrain.

We had already released the first version that kept all the elements of the original SMK, in this new version, despite the tracks being the original ones, I changed the palettes and elements to be more similar to the Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter theme.

I worked on this project with Epic Edit, YY-CHR and Tile Molester programs.
