Secret of Mana: Turtles on Turtle Shell Isle is a hack for the Super Nintendo that enhances the Sea Hare's Tail sidequest by introducing Turtlances on Turtle Shell Isle. These formidable turtles protect villagers from intruders using flying dragons. The hack also removes certain Ghouls from Northtown Ruins, streamlining gameplay and offering compatibility with Level 9 Weapons Progression Balance.
This hack spices up the Sea Hare's Tail sidequest by putting Turtlances on Turtle Shell Isle. These very dangerous turtles are there to guard the villagers from trespassers swooping in on flying dragons.
Important things to note:
- A side effect of this hack is it removes a bunch of Ghouls from the entrance of Northtown Ruins to make room for the Turtlances. In the original game these Ghouls only spawn if you've retrieved the sword orb from deep inside the dungeon, then leave and come back, so you probably won't miss them.
