Final Fantasy III: Upside Down is a modification for the Super Nintendo version of Final Fantasy III, released in 1994. This patch addresses graphical glitches involving enemy sprites that can appear upside down when specific actions, like suplexing or casting Rippler, are performed. The patch corrects these anomalies, ensuring proper visual representation during gameplay. Further updates may expand its functionality.
There are two places in the game where enemies can be flipped horizontally at the wrong time. One such place is when Sabin Suplexes a Muddled enemy. Another is when Rippler is cast on a Muddled enemy. In the latter case, the enemy will be extremely indecisive on which way it should be facing. This patch keeps everything in line in these two cases.
Future updates may add other corrections.

URGENCY:
Another glitch that is purely graphical. I'll let you decide how urgent this is.
PURPOSE:
There are times when enemies, or images of those enemies, are supposed to be drawn upside down. These include the upside-down reflection of the enemy during Rippler or the enemy being dropped upside down when Suplexed. In these instances, the game does not properly handle the case where they're supposed to be flipped horizontally as well as vertically. This leads to weird anomalies like a Suplexed enemy being turned over or a Rippler target being flipped repeatedly. This patch fixes these two instances; updates may be required in the future for others.
