A FULL English translation of
https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/5157/, a Japanese Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem centering around the Wolfguard, with Vyland replacing Marth as the protagonist. All elements including dialogue are fully translated in English.
The hack features several new maps, new characters from the DSFE games, a handful of new items, a new class, and various other gameplay changes such as the contents of shops and chests. The difficulty level has been significantly raised from the original game and the hack is for expert players. The scenario is completely original with lots of plot twists and meta gags for fans of the NES/SNES Fire Emblem games. Book 2 is an alternate retelling of Mystery of the Emblem with more conservative changes, but Book 1 is a complete overhaul that aims to provide an entirely new experience.

How to use the patch:
This patch is for a VANILLA headered 1.1 FE3 ROM, vanilla meaning the original Japanese version with no other patches applied. The filesize for a headered ROM is 3,145,728 bytes and an unheadered one is 3,146,240 bytes. You can see whether it's the 1.0 or 1.1 version by checking the ROM information on an emulator like Snes9x. If you patch it and the game doesn't boot, it might be the wrong version.
Since the creator has given official permission for redistribution of the original hack, there is no need to apply the original Vyland Emblem patch first. Please use this patch on an unmodified dump of the game.
I'm not sure why, but certain dumps seem to cause a glitchy-looking font if this patch is used. There's that's common on a lot of ROM sites with a filename ending in .fig that does this. One that's proven to work is named Fire_Emblem_-_Monshou_no_Nazo_Japan_Rev_1.sfc. There are probably others, so if you encounter this issue, just try a different ROM until it goes away.

Known Issues:
-book 2 bad ending is slightly goofy ("here are the records blabla..." text gets cut off). not a big deal. why didn't you get the spheres anyway idiot.
-As in the Japanese version, suspending the game and resuming can cause various glitches. See the original readme below for details.
I tested this game on Snes9x, bsnes, and Mednafen, but results may vary with other emulators.

Note on release order:
Book 2 was created before Book 1. As a result, Book 2 might seem a little less sophisticated. Book 1 is basically a whole new game with new maps, new characters, and a completely original storyline, but Book 2's changes are a bit more conservative and it follows the original pretty closely. Some gags in the first part are also callbacks to the second. It's your choice whether to play chronologically or in release order, just keep it in mind so you don't feel a little underwhelmed when starting Book 2 after 1. (I think both books have some must-see moments, but Book 2 takes a bit longer to get the ball rolling.)

Notes on TL:
I went with official names for the Book 1 cast even though it makes certain puns (like the Biracle Sword) a lot less funny. I kept the Book 2 character names the same because it's my hack and I make the rules
While Book 1's script is mostly original, Book 2 uses a lot of unedited or slightly tweaked dialogue from the original game. I didn't want to rewrite the entire thing, so I left most of it as-is, save for any grammar/spelling errors and mistranslations grevious enough for me to notice. If the Book 2 script seems a little inconsistent in terms of writing style, that's why.

-If you use the suspend feature in chapters 3 and 19 in Book 1, chapters 10 and 13 in Book 2, or 2-2 of the finale, the number of allies will glitch.
Please use save states if you'd like to suspend the game during those chapters.
-Ballisticians don't display correctly in castle maps, but it's not a serious problem.
-If you enter the house northeast of the start point in Chapter 1 or the house closest to the start point in Chapter 2 in Book 2, you'll be able to listen to the entire soundtrack. On the other hand, you'll be stuck there for several minutes if you enter it accidentally.
-Matthis' recruitment in Chapter 3 of Book 1 is canon, but he isn't involved in any events afterwards, so you don't really need to worry about getting him.

The idea for Book 2's scenario was, what if Nyna married Marth instead of Hardin...?
It started with that, and then I picked Vyland to occupy Marth's role as main character.
The idea for Book 1 was, what if Hardin's army didn't stay in the fort near Aurelis?
The difficulty level is:
Book 1: Enemies are strong, but allies are also strong. Vyland won't get to do anything.
Book 2: Enemies are strong.
Changes:
-Significant changes to recruitable characters.
-Enemy placements and stats are a little different.
-Contents of villages, shops, and chests have a lot of changes.
-The properties of certain items have changed.
-Other than Vyland, characters will stay the same level after promotion.
-As such, the number of enemy reinforcements has been reduced since units will hit the level cap faster.
-I hate it when you have to end the turn over and over because you're not sure if there are still reinforcements coming, so I changed the reinforcement appearance rate to 100% across the board.
-Horsemen can now promote with an Orion's Arrow. (Only when mounted. They cannot change class as Hunters.)
-As a tradeoff, female mages can no longer promote.
Other:
-There's next to no changes to basic systems.
-Other than *those* two characters in Book 1, growth rates are unchanged.

Q. Why are there villages I can't enter?
A. Those are places Wolf can be recruited. If you recruited him already, they'll be closed.

Hidden Tricks:
-If you suspend and restart, some characters' portraits will revert!
-If you suspend and restart, ballisticians will gain a ton of move!
Gameplay tips:
-Characters' recruitment conditions can usually be gleaned by speaking to villagers on that map. On maps where there's no houses, you'll usually be able to get the idea as you play.
-There are cases where a support bonus can give you 100% hit and 0% enemy crit chance, so make good use of it.
-Since your units' levels don't reset upon promotion, it's recommended to promote as soon as they reach level 10. Especially characters whose max HP is below the class base, like Generals (28) and Snipers (24), since their HP will jump to that value.
-Vyland, as the protagonist, has the sole privilege of going back to level 1 after promoting, but I still recommend promoting him at level 10, since the benefits of promotion bonuses early on >>>> those 10 extra levels.
-Be careful of situations where the character dies on enemy phase from killing too many enemies and getting mobbed (e.g. at a chokepoint). Place units with the assumption that they'll get crits.
