Final Fantasy III: Y Equip Relics is a patch for the Super Nintendo version of Final Fantasy III, enhancing the gameplay by allowing players to switch between Equip and Relic menus using the Y button, rather than returning to the main menu. This feature streamlines character customization, enhancing the user experience. The patch is compatible with both headered and non-headered ROM files.
In the Equip and Relic menus, you have the option to switch characters by pressing the L, R or Select buttons. However, you do not have the ability to instantly switch between the two menus; you have to exit to the main menu. This patch adds this as a new feature; all you have to do is press the Y button.

PURPOSE:
Characters have two types of equipment: Relics and everything else. As such, there are two different equipment menus, one for each of those types. If you want to switch between the two menus, you generally have no choice but to back out to the main menu. If you want to open the same menu for another character, the game provides an easy way to do that by pressing L, R or Select. This patch adds a new feature that lets you switch back and forth between the Equip and Relic menus by pressing the Y button.
VERSION HISTORY:
v1.2 (December 19, 2016): Reworked to no longer use any free space. Also added SFC and RPGOne patches.
v1.1 (April 24, 2016): Corrected an issue whereby the menus were not correctly displaying the "new" stat values when selecting equipment.
