Lords of the Rising Sun is a tactical role-playing game released for the TurboGrafx CD set in 12th century Japan. Players assume the role of a samurai seeking vengeance against the rival Taira clan following the murder of their father and the usurpation of the emperor. The game involves commanding armies, engaging in personal combat, forging alliances, and besieging fortresses to reclaim honor and attain the title of Shogun.
