Sonic the Fighters is an arcade fighting game based on the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Originally released in 1996, the game features characters from the series engaging in one-on-one battles. It was later included in Sonic Gems Collection for GameCube and PlayStation 2. A high-definition port for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 was launched in November 2012, and the Xbox 360 version is compatible with Xbox One as of April 2016.
