Released on October 17, 2007, it offers enhanced HD 3D graphics and features larger leagues, local and Xbox Live multiplayer, and online leaderboards. Following the closure of Empire Interactive in May 2009, the game was removed from Xbox Live Arcade.

Developer Empire Interactive was shut down in May 2009, and Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe was delisted from Xbox Live Arcade shortly thereafter.
